This was really my first Marius No.1 LP, a record on which you can hear the whole experience of 10 years of hip hop producing. Turntableists and friends DJ Stylewarz,
Real DJ Real and Mirko Machine dropped in and supported with their scratching.
All of the 8 tracks are almost completely made with two Emu SP 1200 Sampling Drum Computers. Whoever is not aware of this little machine, please note that this is the mother of all Hip Hop Samplers, which we listen to on countless classics
from BDP to Pete Rock. The critics appreciated the album very much indeed and placed it somewhere between DJ Shadow and Dan The Automator.
On my first record I quite purposefully did without rap features to show that hip hop beats can very
well do without rap, rap however not without beats. The folded cover is completely in the design of the 1985 EMU SP1200 user's manual which also gave the LP its name.
