Germoney is another Marius No.1 record on my journey into instrumental Nirvana. Lots of love for detail flowed into this record so rap was not really necessary.
On "Germoney" you can hear very clearly that Djs invented rap, not the other way round. Many of these beats were originally made especially for rappers who once
again could not make it around the bend with their lyrics. No way will I hide behind any kind of vocalist any more..
These songs have long left the usual '2 bar loops' behind themselves and are at the same time spiced with many hip hop cites and innuendos which enables them to
tell stories without being thematically nailed down in any way.
Additionally to the instrumental hip hop beats there are four really hypnotic skits, all spoken by
a motivation trainer from the 70's in relation to music and the music scene at the time. Two scratch tools round off this record. Performance is everything.
