Cora E was the first female German MC. Marius No.1 and Cora E were THE DJ/ MC dream team in the beginning of German hip hop. As unique and original artists we were the highlight on every jam, big and small, in the German speaking countries and made clear which ingredients make a good live show.
Cora, with her unbelievable power and presence on stage and me with my (almost always?!) precise DJ performance, naturally on the good old turntables while other DJs scratched to Dats and CDs. Press wrote at the time "The best German MC is a lady!".
The first of our records which we both made together for the - at the time very young - Buback Label, "Könnt Ihr Mich Hören", is now a German rap classic and is traded for approx. 30 EUR at ebay. Not surprising, being one of the very few records in Germany's "golden years", which one can still listen to and really enjoy nowadays. Chiefrocker Records has now rereleased the maxi record, 10 years after the original release as the first official German rap re-issue on vinyl.
