The 'Heimfeld' EP is a conceptionally thoroughly elaborate and conclusive production, which intends to unify Marius No.1 various diverse qualities on one form of media.
I was out and about with a portable dat recorder for the title track of this EP recording various sounds on underground train yards/ stations, which I then mixed to a collage
of different sounds in the studio. I took a similar approach for "365 Days", an acoustic trip through a whole year, beginning in winter, passing through spring time on its way
into summer then continuing on to autumn, finally ending again in winter.
On the other hand, we also have Hip Hop activist Bas One from Oakland's (Style Elements Crew) guest rap on this EP. I had got to know Bas One on a trip to LA in 2000 and we were
on the same wave length straightaway. When Bas gave me a call when he was in Germany it was clear we would get together and record a track.
